BMW G80 M3 & G82/G83 M4 1-Piece Front Splitter V3 – Prepreg Dry Carbon Fiber

The V3 front splitter gives the BMW G80 M3 and G82/G83 M4 a full-width carbon lip while the factory corner pieces stay in place. It is one piece of prepreg dry carbon fiber that bolts on beneath the gloss-black corners and runs unbroken across the nose.

The look

Between the corner pieces, the V3 lays a carbon shelf along the bumper’s lower edge, molded to follow the factory lines beneath the grille and intakes. It tucks under each corner and reaches forward past the bumper face, so the nose sits visually closer to the road.

Under the grille, a crease at each end frames a wide, flat center section before the blade sweeps out toward the corners. On the brown metallic car in the photos, the gloss carbon reads as a dark underline beneath the painted corners, with light running along its front edge.

Made for the M3 and M4

BMW gives the G80 M3 sedan and G82/G83 M4 the same kind of nose: a deep, frameless kidney grille flanked by two-section intakes. Low on each corner sit gloss-black aero pieces that stand proud of the bumper and, with the side sills, draw a High-gloss Black band around the car.

The V3 is shaped around those pieces rather than in place of them, so the black band stays intact. BMW’s optional M Carbon exterior package puts carbon in the front air intakes; the V3 takes it down to the lowest edge of the nose.

Why this one

BMW’s own carbon option here is the M Performance front splitter (part 51192475168), listed with its installation hardware sold separately and at far more than the V3. Many aftermarket carbon lips, the SPL2 among them, take the factory corner pieces off and replace them.

The V3 keeps them and sits underneath, so your corners, stock gloss black or painted to match, stay part of the look. Budget lips are often gloss-black ABS plastic or wet-laid carbon; the V3 is autoclave-cured prepreg, which makes a lighter, stiffer part than wet lay-up.

Living with it

The V3 is now the lowest, most forward point of the nose, the first thing to meet curbs, parking blocks and steep driveway lips. Owners on a G80 forum report scraping new lips soon after fitting, so take steep driveways slowly; some add slide-on guards underneath or lean on the 360-degree cameras when parking.

Check before you buy

• The V3 mounts beneath the factory gloss-black corner pieces, so they need to be on the car. If yours have been replaced by another lip or corner set, check with us before ordering.
