BMW G80 M3 & G82/G83 M4 CSL Style 3-Piece Front Lip Splitter – Prepreg Dry Carbon Fiber

The CSL Style front lip splitter gives the BMW G80 M3 and G82/G83 M4 the low carbon edge of the limited M4 CSL, without being the genuine BMW part. A slim center blade and two sculpted corner pieces in prepreg dry carbon fiber replace the factory gloss-black corners and fit to the factory mounting points, with no drilling.

The look

The blade runs the width of the nose just below the bumper, tracing its curve under the grille and intakes. At each end, a separate corner piece folds up and back toward the Air Curtain intake in flat, angular faces, so from the side the front looks deeper and closer to the road.

It is bare gloss carbon, with a twill weave under the clear coat and none of the CSL’s red accents or lettering. On the bright blue and yellow cars in the photos it draws a sharp dark line under the paint; on the grey M3 and M4 it reads as a shadow that makes the car look lower.

Made for the M3 and M4

It fits the G80 M3 sedan, G82 M4 coupe and G83 M4 convertible, all built around the large frameless kidney grille with vertical Air Curtain intakes at the outer edges. From the factory, gloss-black aero pieces stick out from the lower bumper.

The look comes from the 2023 M4 CSL, a 543 hp coupe built in a run of 1,000 with a carbon splitter along the lower edge of its front bumper. This lip brings that style to the regular M3 and M4.

Why this one

The CSL’s own genuine carbon lip (splitter part 51758085420) is sold as a retrofit kit for the regular M3 and M4, with further BMW parts and fixing hardware. This CSL-style lip costs well under the price of that genuine kit.

Lower-priced lips for these cars come in gloss-black ABS plastic or wet-laid carbon, which sellers of prepreg parts describe as heavier and less even in its resin. This one is prepreg dry carbon fiber.

Living with it

Any lip sits lower than the bare bumper, so take steep driveways, parking blocks and speed bumps slowly. Some owners fit slide-on scrape guards to the underside, where scuffs stay out of sight.

With nothing drilled, it can come off again if you ever want the stock look back.
