BMW carbon fiber engine covers and engine bay parts, mostly for the S58 six-cylinder in the G80 M3, G82/G83 M4 and G87 M2. Because the three cars share the engine, most pieces fit all of them: two engine cover styles, a cooling shroud, ECU and headlamp covers, a cap set, the cowl top grille and a CSL-style strut brace, in pre-preg dry carbon.
Two oil cooler guards protect the exposed front oil cooler, one aluminum and one carbon, and our own dry carbon air intake is here too. F87 M2 owners get a carbon engine cover in a standard or forged weave.

One engine, three cars
The G80 M3, G82/G83 M4 and G87 M2 all use the S58, so the engine covers, cooling shroud, ECU cover, headlamp covers, strut brace and oil cooler guards here are listed for all three. The X3M and X4M use the S58 too, but only the engine bay cap set lists them, so text us before ordering anything else for an X3 M. The cowl top grille is made for left-hand-drive cars.
Covers and shrouds
There are two carbon engine covers, one shaped like the factory cover and an extra-wide version, both in gloss or matte. The cooling shroud comes with self-tapping screws for its pre-drilled holes, the ECU cover reuses the factory mounting points and rubber grommets, and the cap set fits over the factory plastic caps with 3M tape. A separate listing, marked Coming soon, offers the cover, intake cover, coolant shroud, headlamp cover and electrical cover singly or as a set, with a forged option.
Strut brace and oil cooler protection
The CSL-style strut brace is pre-preg dry carbon and bolts to the factory points across the front shock towers. The S58's oil cooler sits low at the front, where road debris can reach it. Our aluminum guard uses slit-style cutouts to keep air moving, while the carbon skid plate comes in gloss or matte. The dry carbon intake is a Unit 17 design for all three cars.
F87 M2 engine covers
The two F87 M2 covers, standard carbon and forged, are listed for 2015 to 2020 cars and come with self-tapping screws for pre-drilled holes. The original M2 used the N55 engine, while the M2 Competition and CS switched to the S55, so if you drive a Competition or CS, send a photo of your engine bay and we'll confirm the fit.
Frequently asked questions
Do these engine bay parts fit the X3M or X4M?
The F97 X3 M and F98 X4 M use the same S58 engine, but only the dry carbon engine bay cap set lists them. The other covers, shroud, brace and guards are listed for the G80 M3, G82/G83 M4 and G87 M2, so text us at 609-525-4865 before ordering one for an X3 M or X4 M.
Aluminum or carbon oil cooler guard: which should I choose?
Both cover the front-mounted oil cooler on the G80 M3, G82 M4 and G87 M2. The Unit 17 guard is high-strength aluminum with slit-style cutouts for airflow and comes with its installation hardware. The carbon fiber skid plate is pre-preg carbon in gloss or matte. Choose aluminum if protection is the priority, or carbon to match other carbon in the bay.
Is the cowl top grille available for right-hand-drive cars?
The dry carbon cowl top grille is listed for left-hand-drive cars only. In the Coming soon engine bay set, the cowl with carbon mesh is also LHD, while the other pieces are offered for LHD and RHD. Every US-market car is left-hand drive, so this only matters for a car from another market.
Is the dry carbon intake trim or a performance part?
It's a complete intake set with high-flow filters, not a cover. Its listing describes more airflow, sharper throttle response and a louder turbo note, with a bolt-on install. It fits the G80 M3, G81 M3 Touring, G82/G83 M4 and G87 M2, and it's also listed under Performance.
