The breathers are MP-style (M Performance style) pairs that clip into the front fenders in place of the factory trim. At the bottom of the front bumper, choose between a lower air duct pair and a dual air duct. Both ducts are also listed for the G82/G83 M4, because the two cars share a front fascia.

MP-style fender breathers for the sedan
Two sets are listed for the M3, both pairs in dry carbon that take the place of the trim in each front fender. Start with the set named for the M3, which is listed for the G80 only. The set named for the M4 also carries an M3 fitment line, but other makers sell separate G80 and G82 versions of this trim, so ask us before ordering the M4 set for a sedan.
Fitting is the same for both. Unclip the factory trim, move its fixings to the back of the carbon piece and press it into the fender until it clips home. Your emblem isn't in the box: peel it off the old trim and stick it to the new one with fresh 3M tape.
G80 M3 front bumper duct options
- Lower air duct pair: left and right ducts that replace the factory ones. It's also on the G80 M3 bumper trims page. Its listing doesn't describe fitting, so ask us what the job involves.
- Dual air duct: an OEM-fit replacement whose mounting points are all behind the bumper. The bumper comes off, and the factory fixings move across to the carbon part.
Both are pre-preg, so the decision is about the design: compare the photos side by side. If the bumper is coming off anyway, it's a good moment to plan other front work, such as a splitter from the G80 M3 front lips.

Is the M4 fender breather set the same part as the M3 set?
Not necessarily. Both are MP-style dry carbon pairs that clip in where the factory trims go, and both have an M3 fitment line. But other makers sell separate G80 and G82 versions of this trim, so for a sedan start with the set named for the M3, and text 609-525-4865 if you want the M4 set instead.
Does the dual air duct need the front bumper removed?
Yes. Its listing explains that all of the original mounting points are behind the bumper, so the bumper comes off and the factory fixings are moved to the carbon duct. If you haven't removed a BMW bumper before, have a shop do it. The lower air duct pair's listing doesn't cover fitting, so ask us before you book that job.
Do the fender breathers come with M3 badges?
No. The M3 set's listing states that the M3 Competition emblem isn't included, so you reuse the one on your factory trim. Lift it off carefully, apply fresh 3M tape to the back and press it onto the carbon piece before the trim goes back on the car.
Will these vent trims fit a 2025 M3 facelift?
