What carbon canards do on a road car
Canards are sold as aero parts, and at track speeds they can add front downforce or reduce lift. At everyday speeds the effect is small, so on a street car their real job is visual: they sharpen the bumper corners and frame a front lip. That makes the lip the place to start. Choose canards in the same style and finish, and look at the front lips and splitters for your car at the same time.
Match the set to your car
On the G80 M3 and G82/G83 M4 you can pick MP-style pre-preg canards or the VS-style set, which comes in gloss or matte, left and right, and is shaped around the factory sensor layout. For the VS set, add your car's details in the order notes so we can confirm fit before it ships. F80/F82 canards are sold on their own, without the lower splitter. Tape, screws or bonding
The SQ-style sets for the X3 M and M5 come pre-taped with 3M double-sided tape and need no drilling. The pre-facelift RS3 set has pre-drilled holes and screws, and the listing suggests removing the front bumper for the most secure fit. The R8 fins need drilling. The C63 rear canards arrive with 3M tape, but the listing recommends a bonding adhesive as well. Whatever the method, clean and test-fit first, because a canard that has been stuck or screwed on can't be returned.
Frequently asked questions
Do the F80/F82 canards include the lower splitter?
No. The F80 M3 and F82/F83 M4 canards are a standalone set, and the lower front splitter is a separate listing. If you want the whole lower front at once, look at the three-piece Performance-style front lip kit for the F80 and F82 among the front lips. Buying the pieces separately lets you build in stages.
Can I fit canards without drilling?
On several cars, yes. The SQ-style canards for the X3 M LCI and G90/G99 M5 attach with 3M double-sided tape, and the G80/G82 VS-style set needs no permanent body changes. The pre-facelift RS3 set uses screws in pre-drilled holes, and the second-generation R8 fins require drilling. Each listing states its mounting method, and professional fitting helps get the position right.

Are the G80 canards available in matte?
The VS-style set for the G80 M3 and G82/G83 M4 is offered in gloss or matte. The MP-style canards are pre-preg dry carbon and the listing doesn't offer a matte option, so contact us if you need one. If you also run a carbon lip, pick the same finish for both.
