Frequently asked questions
Is this the same trunk BMW fits to the M2 CS?
No. The M2 CS leaves the factory with its own carbon fiber-reinforced plastic trunk lid with an integrated spoiler. The lids here are aftermarket CSL-style designs for the regular G87 M2, named after the M4 CSL's carbon trunk with its built-in spoiler. They aren't BMW parts, and they're listed for 2023-on M2s rather than for the CS.
Do I still need a rear spoiler with a CSL-style trunk?
No. The lip spoiler is molded into each lid, so the trailing edge is already raised and there's nothing to add there. If you want more carbon at the back, the roof spoiler and the G87 M2 diffusers are separate parts listed for the M2.
Will these carbon trunks fit a G42 M240i?
They're listed for the G87 M2 only. The M2 is based on the G42 2 Series coupe, but we haven't listed these lids for the M240i or 230i, so text 609-525-4865 before ordering one for a G42. An order for a car that isn't named on the product page falls outside our fitment guarantee.
