Both are Unit 17 designs sold only here, and both leave your factory skirts on the car.
- V2 extensions: 100% pre-preg dry carbon, supplied as a left and right pair, and they bolt on. They're offered in gloss or matte: the listing asks you to state the finish at checkout, where you also pick G80 M3 as your car.
- Extensions with a small winglet: an undermount blade finished with a small flared winglet, a different part from the M Performance style with its large winglet. The holes are pre-drilled and self-tapping screws come with it.
Full replacements for the gloss-black trim
On the G80, the gloss-black strip along the bottom of each side skirt detaches, and these carbon pieces go on in its place. The M3 versions copy the shape of the M Performance style part in dry carbon prepreg and reuse the OEM tabs and fixing points, so nothing gets drilled. Choose the MP style with a winglet or the OEM style without one. Can I use M4 replacement side skirts on a G80 M3?
Order the M3 version instead. The sedan and coupe each have their own full replacement skirts, which is why we list them separately, so look for G80 M3 in the product title. The extensions work differently: both designs are listed for the M3 and M4, and the V2 asks for your car at checkout.
Winglet or no winglet: what's the difference?
Looks, mainly. The MP-style replacement copies the M Performance style part, winglet included, while the OEM-style replacement has no winglet for a plainer side profile. Our small-winglet extension is a third route: it keeps the factory skirt and adds an undermount blade with a small flared winglet.
