Carbon bumper trims: replacements or covers?
Check which type you're buying, because it changes how the part goes on. Replacement pieces take the place of a factory part: the F95 X5 M LCI center trim swaps for the removable gloss-black section below the grille, the G80/G82 lower air ducts replace the originals, and the G-Class bumper guard and trim set are replacements rather than overlays. Covers go over what's already there: the G-Class door handle and side moulding covers stick on with 3M tape, and the 8 Series trims are bonded to the bumper.
Options to pick before you order
Several listings have a version to choose. The G80/G20 door handle covers come in 2021 to 2023 and 2024 versions, the antenna cover in LCI and pre-LCI versions, and one of the two fuel cap listings in gloss, matte or forged carbon. The headlamp cover has model and finish options. G-Class parts fit pre-facelift cars only, and the G05 X5 LCI center trim asks you to confirm your model year and bumper configuration. Do the G-Class trims fit the facelift?
No. The bumper guard, front and rear bumper trims, door handle covers and side moulding covers are listed for the pre-facelift W464 G-Class, 2019 to 2023 or 2024 depending on the listing. The bumper parts replace the factory pieces, while the door handle and moulding covers go over the originals with 3M tape.
Are the fuel cap covers universal?
They're listed as a fit for BMW G, F and E-series models and tagged for the G80 M3, G82/G83 M4, G87 M2, F87 M2, F80/F82 and E9X M3. There are two listings, and one offers gloss, matte or forged carbon. If your car isn't on that list, send us a photo of the fuel door before ordering.
What does the G80 lower air duct replace?
It's a pair of pre-preg dry carbon ducts that replace the factory lower air ducts in the front bumper of the G80 M3 and G82/G83 M4. If you also fit a carbon front lip, choose one with a similar weave and finish so the two match.
