BMW carbon fiber interior trim for the G80 M3, G82/G83 M4 and G87 M2, with pieces for the G20, G22 and G42 as well. The one thing to get right is your dashboard. These cars came with iDrive 7, the curved iDrive 8 display or iDrive 8.5, and the trim differs for each. Which carbon fiber interior trim fits your dashboard
BMW changed these cabins twice. The M3 got the curved display (iDrive 8) on cars built from July 2022 and the M4 from March 2023, the G87 M2 had it from launch, and the 2025 model year moved all three to iDrive 8.5. That's why the dash trim set comes in iDrive 7 (2020 to 2022), iDrive 8 (2023 to 2024) and iDrive 8.5 (2025 on) versions, and why the air vent covers and center trim are listed by year. Go by build date rather than model year: an early 2023 M4 can still have iDrive 7. One vent cover also notes that it won't fit cars with the plastic interior trim.
Seats: backs, side covers and bucket-seat trim
The 6-piece seat back set covers the backrests, headrest backs and headrests. It fits over the factory seat backs with automotive double-sided tape and comes with or without the cutout for the coupe's seat release lever. The OEM-style backrest for the M3 and M4 follows the factory seat shape, and its listing asks you to confirm whether you have standard seats or carbon bucket seats. The seat center trim is for bucket seats only, the G87 side seat covers come in Comfort and Bucket versions, and the G80 rear seat delete is full dry carbon.
Steering wheel and cockpit
Steering wheel trim is sold for heated or non-heated wheels, with or without the Driving Assistant Professional (5AU) LED, and for leather, Alcantara or full-carbon wheels, so send us clear photos of your wheel before ordering. The same goes for the CS-style steering wheel, offered in leather, Alcantara, carbon with leather or Alcantara, and forged, and for the panel behind the wheel, which comes with or without the M1/M2 button cutout. The G87 also has a carbon HUD cover and door sills shared with the G42.
Console, armrest and drive side
US cars are left-hand drive, but several interior parts are sold in LHD and RHD versions, so pick the right one; the armrest cover and the G87 HUD cover are LHD only. The center console side pieces suit automatic cars with the standard console, not the leather-wrapped one. Older BMWs and the G-Class
F80 M3 and F82 M4 owners will find carbon seat back covers for the front seats and rear headrests, not for the convertible. The F10 has two shifter trims, an M DCT surround for LHD cars and a ZF shifter cover for RHD cars. For the Mercedes G-Class there are door handle trims for 2019 to 2023 pre-facelift cars and side seat trims.
Frequently asked questions
How can I tell if my BMW has iDrive 7, 8 or 8.5?
iDrive 7 cars have a separate center screen standing on top of the dashboard. iDrive 8 and 8.5 cars have one curved glass panel joining the instrument cluster and the center screen, and 8.5 arrived with the 2025 model year. Because the trim changed with each version, the quickest check is a photo: text one of your dashboard to 609-525-4865 and we'll confirm the right part.
Do you have carbon interior trim for the 2025 M3?
Yes. The 2025 M2, M3 and M4 use iDrive 8.5, and several pieces are made for them: a front air vent cover, a center interior trim, and the iDrive 8.5 version of the dash trim set. These are separate listings or options from the 2021 to 2024 trims, so choose the 2025 version.
Will seat parts fit my car if it has carbon bucket seats?
It depends on the part. The seat center trim only fits the carbon bucket seats, and the G87 side seat covers come in Bucket and Comfort versions. The OEM-style backrest listing asks you to confirm your seat type before ordering, so tell us whether you have standard seats or buckets, or send a photo if you're not sure.
Will the CS-style steering wheel fit my BMW?
It's offered for G-Series cars including the G80 M3, G82 M4, G20 3 Series and G30 5 Series, in leather, Alcantara, carbon or forged versions. Steering wheels vary with equipment, so the listing asks for a photo of your current wheel before you order, and we'll confirm compatibility first.
How is carbon interior trim installed?
It varies by part. Some pieces replace the factory trim, like the dash set for iDrive 7, 8 and 8.5. Others fit over the original part with automotive double-sided tape, like the 6-piece seat back set and the G-Class door handle trims. Each listing states its method. Test-fit before you peel any tape backing, because installed parts can't be returned.
