We carry X3M pre-LCI carbon fiber parts and X4 M parts for the original BMW F97/F98 cars, sold in the US as 2020 and 2021 models. For both the X3 M and the X4 M there are pre-preg front side vents and fender vent trims, OEM-style mirror caps, V2 side skirts, and roof and rear spoilers.
Pre-LCI and LCI cars have differently shaped front bumpers, so each front splitter and grille is made for one or the other. If your car is a 2022 or later model, use the LCI page instead. How to tell if your car is pre-LCI
The X3 M and X4 M came to the US for the 2020 model year, built at BMW's plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The facelift (LCI) followed for 2022. A pre-LCI car has the original front bumper without the LCI's L-shaped corner intakes, the earlier headlights and taillights, a smaller center screen and the gear selector borrowed from the M5. Side vents and mirror caps
The front fender vents are an easy place to add carbon. Pick the OEM-style vents to keep the factory shape, or the SQ-style vents for a more aggressive look. We also sell separate fender vent trims. The OEM-style mirror caps replace the factory caps. You'll find the vents under pre-LCI vent trims and the caps under mirror caps.
Side skirts
The V2 side skirts are pre-preg carbon with a longer, sculpted profile that makes the car look wider. They use the original mounting locations wherever possible and have a UV-resistant gloss clear coat. They're listed under pre-LCI side skirts.
Spoilers for the X3 M and X4 M
Rear parts depend on the body. The X3 M gets a rear spoiler and an SQ-style roof spoiler. The X4 M has a sloping tailgate, so it gets its own SQ-style roof spoiler and a separate SQ-style rear spoiler. The two sets aren't interchangeable, so check which model each listing names under pre-LCI spoilers.
Front splitters and grilles
Pre-LCI and LCI cars differ most at the front. Buy a splitter, lip, canard or grille only if its listing names the pre-LCI (2020–2021) car, because LCI parts won't fit your bumper. If you aren't sure, text us a photo of your front bumper before you order.
Fitting and returns
Most parts here are pre-preg dry carbon with a gloss finish. Many install with 3M tape or on the factory mounting points, and each listing explains how. Test-fit every part before you paint or install it. If a part doesn't fit the car named on its product page, contact us before installing it and we'll cover the return shipping. You can return uninstalled parts within 14 days of delivery.
Frequently asked questions
Which model years are pre-LCI?
In the US, the X3 M and X4 M are pre-LCI for the 2020 and 2021 model years. BMW began building them in spring 2019. Cars from the 2022 model year on are LCI.
Will LCI parts fit my pre-LCI X3 M or X4 M?
Front bumper parts won't. Splitters, lips, canards and grilles are each made for one version. Some parts fit both, and their listings say so. If a listing doesn't mention your version, text us before you order.
Do X3 M spoilers fit the X4 M?
No. The X4 M has a sloping tailgate, so it has its own roof spoiler and rear spoiler. Choose the listing that names your model.
