If you’re planning G87 M2 mods for looks, start with the parts that change the car’s outline: a front lip, side skirts, a rear diffuser and a rear spoiler. They’re also our four best sellers for the M2. Together they cost $3,997 at the time of writing (October 2026). Below is what M2 owners buy from us most, the order we’d fit it in, and what to check before you buy. Prices change, so check the product page.
Key takeaways
- Our four best-selling G87 M2 parts are the OEM++ rear spoiler, the SPL1 front lip, the side skirts with winglet and the 3-piece rear diffuser.
- That set of four costs $3,997 at the time of writing (October 2026).
- Lips, skirts, diffusers and trunks are made for the G87 body only. Engine bay parts are shared with the G80 M3 and G82 M4, since all three run the S58.
- Own an M2 CS? BMW gives it its own splitter, diffuser, trunk lid and mirror caps, so check with us before ordering.
- The FTC says your car warranty stays in effect if you use aftermarket parts.
Which G87 M2 mods do owners buy first?
Here’s how our G87 M2 parts rank by how many we’ve sold (apparel left out):
- OEM++ rear spoiler
- SPL1 front lip splitter
- Side skirts with winglet
- 3-piece rear diffuser
- MP style rear spoiler
- Carbon cooling shroud, shared with the M3 and M4
- CS style rear spoiler
- Oil cooler guard skid plate
- CSL style carbon trunk V1
We designed the top four ourselves. The side skirts even have a stepped detail that lines up with our front splitter.
G87 M2 vs G80 M3: what’s shared and what isn’t
The M2 runs the same S58 twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six as the M3 and M4. In BMW’s launch press release, it made 453 hp at 6,250 rpm. BMW says the M2’s chassis tech was originally developed for the M3 and M4, and the track widths match the M4’s. The wheelbase is 2,747 mm, which is 110 mm shorter than the M4’s.
The body is unique to the M2. BMW’s release describes three-section lower air intakes with almost rectangular contours, flared side skirts that run into broad wheel arches, and a diffuser insert with the quad tailpipes set well inboard. So our lips, skirts, diffusers and trunks list the G87 M2 only.
Under the hood, a lot is shared. Our cooling shroud, engine covers, strut brace and oil cooler guard all list the G80 M3, G82/G83 M4 and G87 M2. Mirror caps cross over as well, since BMW uses one pair of M Performance part numbers (51168075063 left, 51168075064 right) for all three cars.
For 2025, BMW’s 2025 M2 release added 20 hp for 473 hp. BMW also made the quad tailpipes black as standard, switched to black model badges with a silver border, and added BMW Operating System 8.5. Our exterior parts list the M2 from 2023 to 2027. A few interior trims are split by model year, though.
A sensible order for G87 M2 mods, with prices
For a full carbon exterior, here’s the order we’d go in. We developed the skirts alongside our front splitter, so they go on right after it. Our diffuser listing says the back looked raised next to the M2’s low nose and sides, so the diffuser comes after those. The spoiler can go on whenever you like, and at $449 it’s the cheapest way in.
| Step | Part | Price (Oct 2026) | How it fits, per the listing |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | SPL1 front lip splitter | $1,050 | Factory mounting points, no drilling |
| 2 | Side skirts with winglet | $1,299 | Pre-drilled points, short self-tapping screws from underneath |
| 3 | 3-piece rear diffuser | $1,199 | OEM hardware in place of the factory insert, no drilling |
| 4 | OEM++ rear spoiler | $449 | Along the trailing edge of the trunk lid |
| Exterior set of four | $3,997 | ||
| 5 | Carbon cooling shroud | $499 | Self-tapping screws included, no modification |
| 6 | Oil cooler guard skid plate | $269 | Hardware included |
| 7 | CSL style strut brace | $1,449 | OEM mounting points |
The oil cooler guard is there for protection. Its listing says the S58’s front-mounted oil cooler sits in an exposed spot, open to rocks and road debris, so you can fit it first if you want.
Front: lips, grilles and air inlets

The SPL1 is one piece of prepreg dry carbon, corner to corner, with molded-in vents and short end plates. It uses the factory mounting points, so there’s no drilling. BMW’s own M Performance front splitter for the M2 is a three-piece set, and BMW’s fitting instructions call for drilling the front trim. Once it’s on, the SPL1 is the lowest point of the nose, so take steep driveways, parking stops and speed humps slowly and at an angle. We’d leave fitting to a professional.
Want a bolder ledge? The SPL2 is $1,249. The CS style lip is $799 and uses OEM mounting hardware plus 3M double-sided tape. See every option on our G87 M2 front lips page.
Over on our G87 M2 grilles page there’s a CSL style grille at $573.85 that bolts to the factory mounting points. The MP style air inlets ($579) have a clip on the back for your sensor.
Sides: skirts and mirror caps

Per the listing, the side skirts with winglet weigh 2.2 kg. They mount from underneath on pre-drilled points with short self-tapping screws, so you won’t see the screws. If you’d rather skip screws, look at the other G87 skirts. The MP style skirts ($949.99) use OEM hardware with no drilling. The skirt extensions ($1,259.99) come pre-taped with 3M tape, and screws are optional.

Our M Performance style mirror caps ($575) replace the painted caps rather than covering them. They’re shaped for left-hand-drive cars only. Hang on to the painted caps.
Rear: diffusers, spoilers and trunks

The 3-piece diffuser replaces the factory insert. A center section frames each pair of tailpipes, and two side pieces run out under the bumper corners. It goes on with the OEM hardware and no drilling, so you can put the factory insert back on later. Its openings are shaped around the factory quad tips, two on each side. If you have BMW’s M Performance exhaust, check with us first, because it stacks its tips in the center.
There’s also a one-piece diffuser at $699 and a CS style diffuser at $999 on our G87 M2 diffusers page. If you were searching for a “G87 M2 rear diffuser with light”, we don’t list one at the time of writing.

The OEM++ spoiler keeps the shape of BMW’s M Performance spoiler but runs the full width of the trunk lid. It fits the G42 2 Series coupe too. Two cheaper choices, the MP style and CS style spoilers, are $399 each and need no drilling. For a bigger change, the CSL style trunk V1 ($1,995) replaces the factory trunk lid. We recommend professional installation, and you’ll need to contact us for shipping rates. Our G87 M2 spoiler and trunk guide compares them in detail.
Engine bay and interior

The cooling shroud is $499 in gloss or matte. The XTRA WIDE engine cover is $699, and you move the M emblem over from your original cover. The CSL style strut brace is $1,449 and uses the OEM mounting points. Browse them all on the G87 M2 engine bay page.
Inside the car, check two things before you order. The first is your seats. The bucket seat center trim ($375) fits only the carbon bucket seats. The side seat covers ($425.50) ask you to choose Bucket or Comfort. The second is your model year. Our front aircon cover for 2025-on cars is marked ID8.5, and the 2023 version is marked ID8. The 2025 listing asks for photos of your car to confirm fit. There’s more on the G87 M2 interior page.
Do carbon mods void the BMW warranty?
No, not by themselves. The FTC’s page on auto warranties says: “Your warranty stays in effect if you use aftermarket or recycled parts.” It adds that the manufacturer or dealer “must prove the aftermarket or recycled part caused the damage before they can deny warranty coverage.”
Our own warranty lasts 1 year and covers defects in materials and workmanship. It doesn’t cover accidents, impacts or road debris, or damage from improper installation. We take returns on uninstalled parts within 14 days. Painted or installed parts can’t be returned. Follow the instructions that come with the part.
Frequently asked questions
What are the best first mods for a G87 M2?
For looks, a front lip or a rear spoiler. Our two best-selling G87 parts are the OEM++ rear spoiler ($449) and the SPL1 front lip ($1,050), at the time of writing (October 2026). The spoiler is the cheapest way in, and the lip makes the biggest change up front.
Do G80 M3 parts fit the G87 M2?
Engine bay parts do. Our cooling shroud, engine covers, strut brace and oil cooler guard list the G80 M3, G82/G83 M4 and G87 M2, since all three use the S58. Body parts don’t. Lips, skirts, diffusers and trunks are made for the G87 body.
How much does a full carbon exterior for the G87 M2 cost?
Our SPL1 lip, side skirts with winglet, 3-piece diffuser and OEM++ spoiler add up to $3,997 at the time of writing (October 2026). Adding the cooling shroud, oil cooler guard and strut brace brings the total to $6,214. Prices change, so check each product page.
Do these parts fit the M2 CS?
Check with us first. BMW gives the M2 CS its own front splitter, carbon rear diffuser, carbon trunk lid with a ducktail and carbon mirror caps. Our versions of those parts are made for the standard M2.
Do your parts fit the 2025 M2?
Yes. Our G87 exterior and engine bay parts list the M2 from 2023 to 2027. Some interior trims, like the front aircon cover, are split by model year, so check the fitment line on those.
Which G87 M2 mods should you start with?
If you only want one part, get the OEM++ spoiler or the SPL1 lip. If you’re planning a full set, fit the lip and skirts together, then the diffuser. Everything we make for the car is on our G87 M2 page. For the material, read prepreg vs wet layup.
Our fitment guarantee: “If a part doesn’t fit the vehicle listed on its product page, contact us before installing and we’ll cover the return shipping for a refund or replacement.” Most orders ship within 5 business days. Questions? Text us at 609-525-4865.
