BMW G87 M2 OEM+ Front Lip Splitter SPL1 – Prepreg Dry Carbon Fiber

Our SPL1 gives the BMW G87 M2 a low, clean carbon edge under its boxy front bumper. We designed it as one piece of prepreg dry carbon fiber from corner to corner, with molded-in vents and short end plates, and it fits the factory mounting points with no drilling.

The look

It traces the bottom of the bumper in one line. Under the central intake it sits just below the factory black lip, a flat blade with a long channel molded into its face; at the intake’s edges it steps up in a sharp crease and runs on under the corner intakes.

At each corner it turns down into a short end plate just ahead of the front wheel, framing the nose. We sized it in proportion to the factory bumper, so it adds depth without jutting far forward.

The twill weave sits under a gloss finish that catches the light on every crease. Against the white and light-blue paint in our photos it draws a sharp black line under the nose; on the bright blue and red cars it matches their carbon intake trims.

Made for the G87 M2

The G87 M2 wears a deliberately square face: a wide, frameless kidney grille over three almost rectangular lower intakes, with a black lip under the center one. BMWBLOG counts those squared-off bumper details among what sets the M2 apart from the larger M4, and BMW kept them for the 2025 update.

Under the hood sits the S58 twin-turbo inline-six shared with the M3 and M4: 453 hp at launch, 473 hp from the 2025 model year.

Why this one

BMW’s M Performance front splitter for the M2 is a three-piece set (center 51115A5F445, sides 51115A5F481 and 51115A5F482) that sells for far more, and BMW’s fitting instructions call for drilling the front trim.

The SPL1 is one part on the factory fitment, with nothing to drill. It is also prepreg dry carbon rather than wet lay-up: prepreg cures in a mold under vacuum, leaving fewer pinholes and a cleaner finish.

Living with it

Once fitted, the SPL1 is the lowest point of the nose. Cross steep driveway ramps, parking stops and speed humps slowly and diagonally, and if your M2 is lowered, a slide-on scrape guard is worth considering.

Since nothing is drilled, it leaves no new holes in the bumper if it ever comes off.
