BMW G80 M3 & G82/G83 M4 CSL Style Grille w/ radar – Prepreg Dry Carbon Fiber

This CSL-style grill strips the kidneys of the BMW G80 M3 and G82/G83 M4 back to the open look of the M4 CSL, for cars with BMW’s front radar. The bottom of one kidney stays open around the radar module, so the sensor keeps its place while the grille turns to gloss carbon. It is aftermarket, not genuine BMW.

The look

Where the factory grille has the M double bars, this one pares both kidneys back to carbon outlines: a broad, flat band across them at mid-height and a slim spine down the center. Angled struts brace the upper corners, and the eye goes straight through the gaps to the intakes behind.

Below the band, one kidney has a short bar and angled braces. The other stays open, and once the grill is on, that is where the black radar box shows. Every face is twill-weave carbon, and the gloss finish catches the light along the band and frames.

Made for the M3 and M4

The M3 sedan (G80), M4 coupe (G82) and M4 convertible (G83) wear the same face: a large, deep kidney grille with no frame, all black from the factory, the M double bars carrying the model badge. It has divided opinion more than most BMW designs and stayed the same at the 2025 LCI (facelift).

For the M4 CSL, limited to 1,000 cars worldwide, BMW drew a lighter grille with fewer slats, wide gaps and red contour lines. This grill takes that idea to the standard M3 and M4.

Why this one

BMW’s genuine M4 CSL grille (part 51138085968) is gloss black with red accents. It has no cutout for the front radar, so a car with radar needs modifying to take it; this grill’s shape already includes the opening.

Lower-priced CSL-style grilles are often ABS plastic, painted gloss black or finished to look like carbon. This grill is prepreg dry carbon fiber.

Check before you buy

• Look low in your factory grille on the car’s left side (the right-hand kidney as you face the car). A small black square box there is the radar.
• No box means you need the CSL-style grill for cars without radar instead.
• The radar is part of BMW’s Driving Assistant Professional package (option code 05AU).

Installation
