Steering wheel pieces: check your wheel first
For the 2025 model year BMW gave the 2 Series coupe a new M leather steering wheel with a flat-bottomed rim, standard on the M240i and optional on the 230i as part of the M Sport Package. A base 230i now has a two-spoke wheel. Earlier G42s have the previous design, and our steering wheel trim is listed from 2022 without a split, so send clear photos of your wheel before ordering, as the listing asks. Then choose the options that describe it:
- leather, Alcantara or full carbon;
- with or without the heating button;
- with or without the LED fitted with Driving Assistant Professional (option 5AU).
The top cover behind the wheel is a separate piece. Pick the 1/2/3/4 Series type, then a CS or standard wheel, with or without holes for M1/M2 buttons.
Door sills and armrest cover
The door sills come as a pair in prepreg carbon, listed for the G42 from 2022 and the G87 M2 from 2023. The armrest box cover is pre-preg dry carbon and made for left-hand-drive cars only, so it won't suit a right-hand-drive car.
Test-fit each piece before you remove factory trim or commit to adhesive. Does the steering wheel trim fit a 230i?
The listing names the G42 without splitting it by trim, so your wheel decides. From 2025 a 230i has either the two-spoke base wheel or, with the M Sport Package, the flat-bottomed M leather wheel, and earlier cars differ again. Which top cover option should I choose for a G42?
Choose the 1/2/3/4 Series type. Then pick the CS wheel or normal wheel version, and take the one with M1/M2 holes only if your wheel has those buttons. The listing asks for a photo of your steering wheel before you order, so send one and we'll confirm the combination.
Are the G42 door sills the same part as the M2's?
