Coupe or convertible: start here
For a G83, the M-style dry carbon spoiler is shaped for the convertible's trunk lid. It is pre-preg with a high-gloss UV-resistant finish and mounts with automotive double-sided tape, no drilling. Position it carefully before pressing it down, then check that the soft top opens and closes cleanly past it. For the coupe, the model option to choose on shared listings reads G82 or "G82 G22", the version also made for the 4 Series coupe.
G82 M4 spoiler styles, from subtle to sharp
The quietest choice is an OEM-style spoiler, and there are two: a G82-only listing with a high-gloss UV-resistant clear coat, and a shared one with a G82 G22 option. The M4-style spoiler follows the lid with raised center sections, and a pre-preg trunk spoiler is listed for 2021 to 2026 coupes. The CS-style, DF, V and PSM designs add sharper edges; the V can be ordered in wet or dry carbon. Style names describe a look, so compare the photos side on.
Ducktail, wings and roof
The G82 ducktail spoiler is the M4's own. It arrives with predrilled screw holes and self-tapping screws, so have a body shop fit it; the tape-on ducktails on the M3 page are listed for the sedan only. For more height, the MP-style wing and both AD-style wings are listed for the G82 as well as the M3 and M2, and the swan-neck AD-style wing includes its stands and mounting hardware. The roof spoiler, in its G82 G22 version, sits on the coupe's fixed roof. Test-fit before you drill or tape anything down, because installed parts can't be returned. Can I put a coupe spoiler on my G83 M4 convertible?
Not from this page. Only the M-style spoiler is made for the G83 trunk lid; the other spoilers and wings are listed with coupe options, and the roof spoiler needs the coupe's fixed roof. If you want a different style on a convertible, text 609-525-4865 before ordering.
Does the G82 ducktail need drilling?
Yes. The M4 ducktail comes with predrilled screw holes and self-tapping screws, and the listing strongly recommends a professional installer. That differs from the M3 ducktails, which use 3M tape. If you would rather not drill the coupe's trunk, ask us which M4 listings mount another way before you order.
Why do some M4 spoiler listings mention the G22?
The G22 is the 4 Series coupe. Several designs here are made to fit it and the M4 coupe, so the "G82 G22" option is the one for your car. The "G80 G20" option on the same listings is for the M3 and 3 Series sedans and won't suit an M4.
Which M4 spoiler is closest to stock?
