BMW G42 2 Series Front Air Ducts – Prepreg Carbon Fiber

The look

The shape follows a long triangle, rising toward the outside of the bumper and tapering inward toward the lower grille. A broad lower edge anchors the design, and the raised diagonal blade adds depth inside the opening. Seen head-on, the opposing shapes draw attention to both corners of the nose.

A narrow vertical opening runs along the outer edge of each duct. The circular parking-sensor aperture sits above the inner blade, which keeps that detail within the carbon surround. In the installed close-ups, the painted bumper borders the upper edge and separates the ducts from the center grille.

The visible carbon weave extends across the perimeter and the sculpted inner surfaces. Its dark pattern outlines the openings against the demonstration car’s paint, so the triangular shape is easy to read from a distance. Up close, the gloss finish shows the weave across the blade and lower ledge.
